No em puc connectar al repositori corporatiu, ni navegar, ni revisar les xarxes socials. La intermit\u00e8ncia del servei \u00e9s tanta i l&#039;ample de banda tan dolent que el que puc fer millor mentre em despla\u00e7o \u00e9s llegir i escoltar m\u00fasica. Tot i aix\u00ed, Barcelona \u00e9s la capital mundial del m\u00f2bil i aix\u00f2 no es discuteix. Tot i aix\u00f2, a l&#039;\u00c0frica el m\u00f2bil s&#039;ha anat convertint en la cartera de cada ciutad\u00e0, fins i tot es pot pagar i rebre diners sense tenir compte bancari. Gaireb\u00e9 no hi ha infraestructures, la penetraci\u00f3 d&#039;internet \u00e9s pobra, per\u00f2 les formes m\u00e9s b\u00e0siques de comunicaci\u00f3 han fet que es pugui pagar amb el m\u00f2bil, cobrar salaris, prestar diners, fer periodisme, compartir informaci\u00f3 i xatejar. I aix\u00f2 ho fan des de fa m\u00e9s d&#039;una d\u00e8cada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al tancament de l&#039;any 2014, la penetraci\u00f3 d&#039;internet al m\u00f3n ha estat colossal. Els Estats Units i Europa encap\u00e7alen la banda ampla amb un 80% i 78% respectivament. Fins i tot, fins i tot regions desafavorides com el Sud i el Sud-est Asi\u00e0tic, \u00c0frica i Centre Am\u00e8rica, han crescut i la pres\u00e8ncia de dispositius m\u00f2bils ha for\u00e7at la marxa d&#039;internet. L&#039;usuari ha pres el control, s\u00ed, es repeteix molt, per\u00f2 la majoria no \u00e9s conscient del que est\u00e0 passant mentre els vells models de negoci s&#039;esquerden i els nous es veuen obligats a reinventar-se minut a minut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es calcula que hi ha operatius 5000 milions de tel\u00e8fons m\u00f2bils i que 1008 milions s\u00f3n tel\u00e8fons intel\u00b7ligents. Aix\u00f2 vol dir que almenys el 80% de la poblaci\u00f3 mundial t\u00e9 almenys un tel\u00e8fon m\u00f2bil. Les empreses poden bregar amb tanta llibertat? Sabrem convertir en informaci\u00f3 el desmesurat volum de dades que ens cobreix com un tsunami? Sabem on mirar? Pot semblar contundent, per\u00f2 amb prou feines hem comen\u00e7at a gatejar a la nova economia de les dades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Potser \u00e9s per aix\u00f2 que hi ha una carrera desenfrenada cap a l&#039;Internet of Things (IoT), perqu\u00e8 ning\u00fa vol quedar-se fora quan l&#039;usuari torni a agafar el control, per\u00f2 aquesta vegada de tots els electrodom\u00e8stics, wearables i m\u00e0quines intel\u00b7ligents que formaran part de l&#039;univers de les ciutats. Per\u00f2 tot aix\u00f2 encara \u00e9s molt lluny. M\u00e9s que preocupar-nos per saber com controlar el microones des del cotxe que es condueix sol i que els llums de casa s&#039;encenen del color preferit quan estiguem de bon humor, hi ha molt per resoldre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si parla a un hostaler de computaci\u00f3 omnipresent, impressi\u00f3 3D, infraestructures definides per programari, intel\u00b7lig\u00e8ncia artificial i Internet de les coses, aquest no li far\u00e0 cas. No perqu\u00e8 no cregui en la tecnologia, sin\u00f3 perqu\u00e8 les seves particularitats el fan centrar molt en un negoci que opera a velocitat de creuer i on s&#039;espera que la tecnologia resolgui problemes i no que els cre\u00ef. Aix\u00f2 ha generat una cautela potser excessiva i ha provocat que no es repudi\u00ef la tecnologia, per\u00f2 no es deixen enganyar per la tecnologia i aix\u00f2 fa que el sector sigui tan pragm\u00e0tic i fins i tot l&#039;extrem esc\u00e8ptic. A la ind\u00fastria tur\u00edstica, parafrasejant Martin Heidegger, la veritat de les coses la construeix la tecnologia, per\u00f2 l&#039;\u00fas \u00fatil i mesurat d&#039;aquesta tecnologia \u00e9s la que recrea la naturalesa de l&#039;experi\u00e8ncia. Perqu\u00e8 l&#039;ess\u00e8ncia de la tecnologia \u00e9s \u201cdesocultar\u201d, \u201cdesvelar\u201d i \u201cdesafiar\u201d comprometent l&#039;\u00e9sser hum\u00e0, no alienant-lo i excloent-lo. Per\u00f2 aix\u00f2 ho saben molt b\u00e9 els hostalers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fins fa uns quants anys no era dif\u00edcil omplir un hotel. De fet, els hotels, encara que no es venien sols, no donaven abast i l&#039;overbooking era gaireb\u00e9 un esport. Els operadors tur\u00edstics eren tractats com a poderoses nenes malcriades i eren els que tenien el control. Fins i tot les ag\u00e8ncies de viatges li besaven els peus. \u00c9s a dir, perqu\u00e8 s&#039;entengui millor, els detallistes i els operadors tur\u00edstics eren els principals intermediaris de la majoria dels productes tur\u00edstics. Per\u00f2 amb l&#039;arribada de les ag\u00e8ncies (portals) en l\u00ednia la cadena aliment\u00e0ria es va incrementar i els hotelers es van allunyar molt m\u00e9s de bons beneficis i els mals n\u00fameros van fer que perdessin de vista que el m\u00f3n no nom\u00e9s canviava amb tanta tecnologia, sin\u00f3 que el client tamb\u00e9 havia canviat i amb tanta oferta interessant (hotels amb encant, gai friendly, hotels de bou, hotels boutique, hotels boutique). deixen de ser un segell distintiu i la categoritzaci\u00f3 del client comen\u00e7a a ser el senyal d&#039;identitat, la refer\u00e8ncia obligat\u00f2ria i el c\u00e0stig de molts hotelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amb els beneficis i creixement de la ind\u00fastria hotelera la tecnologia es va incorporar, per\u00f2 tros a tros, segons les necessitats de cada cadena o grup. Primer van automatitzar amb molta racionalitat les habitacions i la clau (targeta) electr\u00f2nica es va imposar, per\u00f2 no perqu\u00e8 fos c\u00f2mode per al client, sin\u00f3 perqu\u00e8 tamb\u00e9 s&#039;utilitzava com a interruptor per encendre els llums, posar en marxa l&#039;aire condicionat, la nevera i el televisor. M\u00e9s tard van introduir sistemes de gesti\u00f3 per automatitzar processos (PMS) i eines per gestionar els canals en l\u00ednia (Channel Manager), van posar Wi-Fi (cobrant al principi) i fins i tot m\u00e0quines de check-in\/out, consoles de videojocs i fins a aplicacions m\u00f2bils per fer reserves en l\u00ednia. De manera que si vost\u00e8 parla de transformaci\u00f3 digital a un hostaler i l&#039;aclapara amb l&#039;estat de maduresa del negoci i xerrameca t\u00e8cnica, vost\u00e8 quedar\u00e0 com un idiota, perqu\u00e8 la ind\u00fastria tur\u00edstica sempre ha estat transformant digitalment. Per\u00f2 aquesta transformaci\u00f3 digital ha estat tan desorganitzada, dispar i lenta, que ha provocat un distanciament cada vegada m\u00e9s gran entre l&#039;hotel i el client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pot semblar contradictori que l&#039;hotel estigui perdent el client final, per\u00f2 \u00e9s cert. L&#039;hotel allotja el turista, per\u00f2 l&#039;experi\u00e8ncia pre i postvenda est\u00e0 passant, la majoria de vegades, pels portals en l\u00ednia. Fins i tot, en alguns casos, la informaci\u00f3 que arriba a l&#039;hotel \u00e9s la imprescindible i el perfil d&#039;usuari, els gustos i les opinions es queden al portal. Si hi afegim que amb l&#039;augment d&#039;intermediaris, millor posicionats a Internet, l&#039;hotel ha perdut visibilitat. \u00c9s f\u00e0cil deduir que els hotels independents, cadenes i grups han hagut de cedir a \u201cl&#039;extorsi\u00f3\u201d dels intermediaris m\u00e9s forts. Per m\u00e9s inri, l&#039;aparici\u00f3 del turisme <em class=\"markup--em markup--p-em\">Peer to Peer<\/em> i l&#039;auge dels apartaments obliguen la ind\u00fastria tur\u00edstica a reinventar-se. Com podran esquivar tots aquests problemes?
