During the month of May, the Zemsania Group has collaborated with the NGO Junior Achievement giving talks in several high schools in Barcelona. More than 10 Zemsania volunteers gave classes dedicated to Digital Transformation and entrepreneurship education to 3rd and 4th ESO students.
The Zemsania Group believes that it is very important to introduce young people to working life and encourage their entrepreneurial skills. In this sense, we align ourselves with the objectives of Junior Achievement, which seeks to create an entrepreneurial experience for high school students through the creation of a business plan and teamwork.

What is Junior Achievement and why is it important to prepare young people to face the job market?
Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurial training that works with young people in 122 countries. In Spain they have been working since 2001 in educational projects. In the 2015-2016 academic year alone, they worked with more than 31,000 students and more than 2,600 volunteers.
The main objective of the lectures given by the Junior Achievement is that students learn to identify opportunities to achieve their goals and work on practical skills to carry out a project. In this sense, the NGO values that the volunteers are working professionals who can transmit their knowledge and experience to the students. In this way, it is much easier to create synergies and understand what it is like to work in a globalized ecosystem.

At Zemsania Group we believe that these talks about Digital Transformation, In addition to providing valuable additional training for the students, it is also a great opportunity for professionals to get in touch with the new generations to learn about their concerns, interests and doubts. All the volunteers at Grupo Zemsania are very happy with the experience we have had with the students and we would certainly recommend it to all those companies that are interested in getting involved in educational projects.
In addition, we would like to thank the high schools where we went to give the talks for welcoming us and making us part of their day to day. And, of course, we would also like to thank the students who were with us for their interest and collaboration, and congratulate them for their magnificent business ideas.
The most enriching part of this volunteering has been being able to talk to the students and analyze the projects they have worked on. Applications for leisure, solutions to improve the quality of life or educational platforms are some of the ideas that have caught our attention. The important thing, in this case, was not only to have a good idea but to know how to defend it and argue it in front of their classmates!Congratulations to all of you for your initiatives, you have done a very good job!
