Zemsania presents a real-time intelligent coffee maker
  • Reduces waiting time when coffee capsules run out of coffee pods
  • 1 router with wifi and 3G that connects to the internet to provide real-time data
  • The technological solution can be applied to all types of products, such as gas or fuel tanks, electromechanical equipment, vending machines or digital signage.

Zemsania, a company specialized in technological solutions and services, has just presented an innovative solution that combines the use of new technologies with one of the most routine products of our society: a smart coffee machine with WIFI and 3G.

This is an innovative coffee machine from the Novell brand that uses proprietary technology, wirtualdb and Agrego, equipped with sensors with WIFI +3G connectivity that allow sending and receiving information. The machine in question has a sensor and a router that read the sensors and connect to the internet, allowing quick access to data in real time. With these devices, what the smart coffee machine achieves is to avoid running out of capsules and thus reduce the time the user has to wait to receive his order. When there are few capsules left, the coffee machine automatically contacts the supplier through its sensors and places the order for the replacement of the product, so that the supplier does not have to keep track of the orders.

Zemsania has developed an initiative that not only shortens the waiting time for product replacement and product management, but also implements a revolutionary predictive model in which they combine the real time access to product data with automatic update with the supplier and, most importantly, without any infrastructure.

Xavier Bosch, Bosch Software & Systems Director, says that “this project, and in general the implementation of IoT solutions, opens up a new range of possibilities for many companies that had given up obtaining real-time information because of the high investment it represented in the past, but now, with this type of solution, they can obtain and manage their data in real time, obtaining great improvements in productivity and cost reduction in their business. Bosch adds that “there is no doubt that the starting signal has been given so that practically any company can use these solutions in real time". can access their data remotely and in real time, and with implementation and operating costs that are much lower than the savings they can represent in the production chain.”.

The technology company has promoted this first project, which was presented at the IoTSWC15 (Internet of Things Solutions World Congress 2015), through its use in the retail sector, but comments that this solution can be applied to any other sector and product, such as gas or fuel tanks, electromechanical equipment, vending machines or digital signage for monitoring, among others, as long as the corresponding sensors are used.
